Woah, two months have gone by since my last update. I really really want to get better at blogging, because I want to be able to look back at the memories we had along our journey.
So in December we got ANOTHER little munchkin. We've been calling him "Big". He's 15 months old and so full of laughter and love. I wish so much that I could upload pictures of these wonderful little boys because they get more and more handsome by the day.
Little is doing great, growing like a weed! He's finally out of newborn sizes and into size 0-3. All the moms I talk to say their little one only wore newborn sizes for a few weeks, so I was lucky to get to enjoy him being little longer than most. I will admit that I did shed a tear when I had to pack away his preemie and newborn size clothes.
Life is going by so quickly. We've already had Little for 3 months and big for 1.5! We still pray every single day that miracles happen and we get to keep them both, but we know that may very well not happen. So all we can do is love them like crazy while we have them!

Little.
It seems that I haven't blogged since early September! I can't believe it, so much has been going on. October was the month that changed our lives:
Two years ago, October, we found out that I was infertile and the journey up to now has been the most heartbreaking thing I've ever had to go through. I am so very thankful for my husband. He struggled as well, but was always the strong one for me, because I was so very weak, emotionally. I'm not saying that suddenly I'm all better, I do still have some very bad, emotional days. But, with God, I have gotten so much stronger.
This October we had not one, but TWO baby showers! It was so wonderful to be spoiled by people who love us. After opening the presents at both showers I broke down into tears. I am so thankful that we have gotten to this point in our lives, that a family will soon begin!
But most wonderfully, we got our first placement! A sweet boy that we have been calling "Little". Since he is a foster child I cannot post any pictures of him or information about him on any social media, which I completely understand. But, I must say that it makes me so sad, because I want to share him with the world, he's so wonderful. He is currently not an adoptable baby, so we are just loving him while we can. :)
Charles & I ask that you keep our hearts in your prayers. We don't know how long we will be blessed with Little, and we will, of course, be heartbroken when he has to go home. But, we are so blessed to have him in our lives for the time being.

Animals and Carseats and Home Studies, Oh My!
Oh boy, have we been busy around here! I suppose I can update you on our August!
We completed our home study and it went fantastic! All we are waiting on now is our fire and health inspections, which we will be completing this month. I haven't officially set them up, but I plan on doing that next week. Hopefully that can be done quickly. Charles and I are so excited, and once the inspections are done, we are in the system and waiting for a munchkin! We did find out that while we are fostering, we cannot post the child's name or picture on any social site. So you'll just have me blogging about a nicknamed sweetie when the time arrives!
We have been preparing the baby room, we settled on zoo/safari type animals for the theme and bright orange as the color! We are currently redoing a dresser and I will post the before/after when it is done. It's been painted bright orange, but I think it might need another coat and new drawer pulls!
We discovered a wonderful little resale shop called "Once Upon A Child" and we are so in love with it! We have been getting super cheap, brand-new looking clothes at such a LOW LOW price! Charles' sweet parents also came this weekend and got us the car seat we have been wanting! It's convertible from newborn to toddler!
But, they were also here because.... Charles turned the big 2-5! I made him an adorable little minion cake and we tried the famous 'Salt Lick' restaurant for the first time. It was delish!
I also substituted on the first and second day of school. That was QUITE the challenge, but so fun to see a bunch of my sweeties from last year! I did an elementary school music class....needless to say, I came home and took a nap both days. HAHA!
Anyways, that is what we are up to! It is getting so hard to be patient, lol! We hope this post finds you all well, and we will keep you updated as the months go by!

Training Finished!
I haven't blogged in a while! We have been so busy with the fostering process. All of the paperwork has been turned in and we have completed all of our trainings! There were so many of them, and some where even eight hours long...but we did it! Tomorrow morning a lady from the agency is coming to our house to do the first home inspection. My understanding is that she will basically tell us everything we need to do to prepare for the fire inspection and the official home study. I'm so nervous and I don't know why. haha!
However, I took this opportunity of preparing to get the house cleaner than it has ever been, I even finally got around to hanging up a bunch of frames that I've had for 8 months, sitting in the garage.
They aren't perfect, but I like it anyway!
I also posted on Facebook a few days ago asking for people to inform me if they have any old baby items to sell, and I got an overwhelming response of people just GIVING us stuff!! What a wonderful blessing! As soon as I have the nursery going, I will update with pictures of it! I'm so excited! The time is getting closer!!!

VBS + Paperwork!
Oh boy, I have been meaning to blog this week - but it was VBS at my church! What an amazing week it has been. I volunteered in the crafts area and it was an amazing blessing. Every morning I would be dragging my feet, I am NOT a morning person. But, by the end of the day I am pumped and glowing from the love radiating from all the children. God is so very good. I think they said that there were about 1,400 kids and like 500 volunteers? AMAZING. Although, trying to control that many children in a craft situation was quite...interesting! But we did it! (of course, they were thankfully split into five rotations.
So the paperwork process is officially started and it is about 90% filled out! We are just waiting on the little things. For example, we can't find our birth certificates! I'm sure they are in a box somewhere from a move, and frankly I feel it would just be easier to replace them, rather than tear the house apart trying to find them.
We are also waiting on our wonderful friends to fill out the personal references for us. It's amazing how many people were offering to write ones for us! It really warmed my heart to know that so many people are ready for Charles and I to be parents and would be so willing to recommend us. What an amazing compliment!
So now I have this huge list of things left to do! But it's fun to check the things off one by one! I also need to set up an appointment for our fingerprints too!
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers!

We're pregnant!...on paper.. ;)
That's right, y'all! Charles and I have made the decision to foster-to-adopt!
I was so very against adoption for us. I told everyone that I did not feel called to adopt, and that it wouldn't be fair to a child for me to adopt without being ready, or having my heart all the way in it. I think it was also making me feel like if I chose adoption, I would be giving up on having our own. But, despite those feelings, I prayed. I prayed every night that if it was meant for us to adopt, that God change my heart.
And, oh boy, He DID! After meeting a wonderful woman at a birthday party and talking to her about her foster-to-adopt story, I felt my heart change. I know that sounds crazy, but I did. I felt the tears start forming and my heart filling with joy and hope. I was finally ready. I ran and found Charles and told him that it was time to start our journey. He told me that he had been ready for a long time, and was just waiting on me. What an amazing man, waiting patiently for me to be ready, not putting any pressure on me, despite being oh-so-ready himself.
So we met with different people, called different agencies...and we found the agency we are going to use. And we are currently filling out the PILES of papers and getting our documents in order. These are the parts that will only be shared on this blog, not on Facebook. I will delve deeper into our journey and ask that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we start.
We are so excited, and we are so happy to get to share this journey with our friends and family!

Meet the Nunnallys!
Welcome to our family blog! If you're following us, it's probably because you're our family or one of our wonderful friends. Either way, we are so happy to be able to keep you posted on our lives via this blog!
So many things in our lives are always changing, and these wonderful things we want to share with the ones we love! This blog could contain all kinds of things we are doing: life, crafts, cooking, the list could go on...

So what's some news to share?
Well, we are moving! Charles will start working out of Del Rio in September, and as soon is our lease is up, we are moving to Uvalde. Where is Uvalde? It's an hour from Del Rio, and an hour and a half from San Antonio. We didn't want to make the full two and a half hour move all the way to Del Rio, so we settled somewhere in the middle! We are excited, nervous, and sad all at once. But, the good news is that we won't be too far from San Antonio and we can visit our friends and family all the time. Also, we will be sure to have a place with PLENTY of room for people to visit... BONUS: We will only be 30 minutes from the river.
Anyways, this post will get us started - and I'm sure our lives will bring many more things to post about!
